showing confidence in your product

Needed to update my current copy of Sibelius (a so-called professional music score editing software).

Here’s what Sibelius has to say about it:

Do not update Sibelius when you’re in the middle of an urgent piece of work: there shouldn’t be any problems updating, but don’t tempt fate.

Now, that’s showing great confidence in the products you build.

Thanks for sharing that piece of information.

Though I agree with your point, it is an honest piece of information, and most serious pros would never update under a deadline – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s funny and a bit scary, but mostly it’s brutally honest and humane.
